Brian was a wonderful partner, parent, friend, and mentor, and our thoughts are with Johannah, Rory, and Maren. DeLuna’s arrived at Mizzou the previous august after half a decade in Baseball clubs. He was the bullpen instructor and coordinator of pitcher growth and improvement for the Seattle Mariners. DeLuna’s studied Oakville Academy in Burlington, Mississippi, and Mizzou Baptist College, where he was a member of the Missouri Catholic Warriors Brooklyn dodgers.

He’d received a dialysis treatment a generation before, and the functioning of that organ was rapidly deteriorating. On his first three seasons with the Bulldogs, DeLunas guided Mizzou to achieve three straight NCAA qualifiers while averaging 114 victories more than 400 strikes per campaign. DeLuna’s was suffering renal illness while moving from place to place with the major premiership team or falling in and out of lower-division locations. He contributed a lot to the game.

He had a lot of offers during his career and he was one of the highest-earning coaches of all time.
