Who Is Fatima Reyadh?
Fatima is a 33 years old woman who is also a responsible mother. Fatima is the first woman who started coaching a men’s team in Bahrain that too for the football team. After people started questioning her ability to play and often train men, Fatima said that she wanted to prove herself and wanted to prove all the norms against her were wrong. She was questioned about her abilities and that she would not be able to teach and coach the men’s team. Fatima said that she wanted to break the norms as often in Bahrain basketball is considered a sport for men and teaching them broke all the stereotypes.

Fatima said that people lacked the ability for acceptance and her ability and her work proved them wrong. Fatima spoke that she was involved in sports from a young age but it was preserved for men in her city and her society. Fatima started her career by training young girls and she used to train a group of boys as well who were young, later she went on to become the first woman to coach men in basketball teams playing internationally and nationally as well. Now, Fatima is the coach of the Al-Najma Basketball club in Bahrain’s capital, Manama. Apart from being a coach, Fatima is also a responsible mother and she often posts pictures of her daughter on her social media. Apart from being a basketball player, Fatima is a Taekwondo black belt and she also bought back the national championship trophy as well. She is very athletic and she often posts pictures of her cycling, running, and playing tennis as well. In Bahrain, it is seen that 50% of the women work but they lack the ability to show up and often choose a safer side of their career. Fatima being a coach and a champion in Basketball has proved her and the woman’s culture as well, inspiring many.
